ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 4, 2003
5:00 P.M. Called meeting to order. Present: Richard Gorden, Paula Keefe and Mark Mazur
The Board reviewed, in detail, a preliminary version of our fiscal 2004 tax rate
recapitulation form.
The Board reviewed and then signed documents related to the setting of the tax rate.
The Board discussed what information to present to the Board of Selectmen at the
classification hearing later this evening. The Board decided to not present an estimated tax rate.
The Board discussed the excess levy capacity. The Board cannot know what the
excess levy capacity will be until we set the tax rate. Once a rate is known, we will have the Selectmen sign off on an excess levy capacity.
We will resume meeting on Thursday evenings starting November 20, 2003 at
7:00 P.M.
